Dear Ron,

The other info received from Dave Jones should clear up the problems you
mentioned.

The software disc you said containing "updates only" means you need a Windows
98 First Addition to begin with a fresh installation.  Unless you have that
CD too you cannot reinstall this system with the software you have currently
as you will be prompted to insert the early version during the process.
