Hello:

Are you saying that you have a concern with a toner based printer drying 
up? Toner is dry, you can printer 1 page every three months. Still not a 
problem.
I love toner based printing. I probably never go back to ink, unless 
they make big changes for occasional users. HP would be my choice. I 
would consider others. When you pick one out. Do a search for ratings of 
that model. Other people experiences always help me a choice.
