The simple answer here is that the Active Matrix screen is newer
technology.   The main difference you will 'see' is the active matrix
is viewable even if you are not directly in front of the screen, where
the Dual Scan has a tendency to become more difficult to view if
you move your head only a few inches to the side from  the center
of view.  The active matrix is also much clearer and sharper.
