I had to junk my BJC 4000 with the same symptoms. I also tried new
cartridges. After much trouble shooting with Canon, finally decided the
internal circuit board was bad. The cost to replace this part was more than
a new printer.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Canon BJC Printer won't print

> Hello I have 2 Canon printers that do the same thing-nothing One is a
2000 and the other is a 4200 series. They won't print anything It acts like
it is printing but nothing on the paper. I have tried a new driver, removing
and reinstalling without success. Any ideas or do you need more info.
