Have you checked that your computers did not get the same IP address? Do you
use static IP addresses or DHCP?

|Computer 1 had no problems. Both
| computers could see each other and trade files.  The network
| printer worked fine. Computer 2 could not ping the router or
| open its config screen. Computer 1 opened the config screen.
| What I saw is that only one computer is showing up as
| connected, and the IP address for that one is computer 2
| which cannot ping or get on the internet.  Computer 1, which
| is working fine is not shown.
