Yes, you have to load a MSCDEX.EXE program.
I don't remember the parameters [what a shame on me!]
but I remember that you have to type the
device name there, for ex.:

<@config.sys]

device=mycdrom.sys /D:MYCD001

<@autoexec.bat]

mscdex.exe /D:MYCD001

I hope I remember this well...

also, add lastdrive statement to your config.sys,
LASTDRIVE=<last-hd-drive-letter+1>

for example having c: only add lastdrive=d

should work...

if not, type "help mscdex" in dos prompt - you have full
dos6, do you?
