I have a scanner, printer and Superdisk. Until now, I have connected them,
daisy-chained, to my parallel port.
Now, I am interested in connecting one or two of them to the USB ports on
the rear of my CPU. I have two. I think one is for a single client and the
other is for daisy-chaining several clients. My box is a Dell Dimension XPS
M166s 2G HD 64MB RAM.
The scanner, printer and Superdisk mentioned above are, to the best of my
knowledge, designed for parallel use only. (I could be wrong here). Is there
some way to connect them to my USB ports? I know there are cables on the
market that have a parallel connector on one end and a USB plug on the
other. Can I just use this type of cable to accomplish the hookup I desire,
or is there more to it than meets my eye?
Thanks,
Terry Bell
