Hi, I no longer have the original email from the person who had the problem downloading, but this may help that particular person.
I remember that particualar person said they had zone alarm, and I have already suggested that they check all the settings.
I have zone alarm pro, and for the past few days have been having terrible trouble downloading too.
I can download, but only when I disable zone alarm pro. Then the download takes place straight away.
I have noticed that I keep receiving a message from Zone alarm telling me that I should update, but this, apparently is going to cost me money and so I have declined so far.
I no longer have the free version of zone alarm pro, and I was under the impression all updates would be free. Obviously not.
This seems to be the cause of my latest downloading problem, and no doubt could well be the cause of the other persons problem as well.
It seems a bit too much of a coincidence, I've had zone alarm pro for many months now, and have only ever had a problem when my children have altered settings.
This time, just to be sure, I uninstalled it, and reinstalled it, but still the same. (I get a message on the screen which mentions microsoft outlook express)
To that person, try disabling zone alarm and then try to download and see if that solves your problem. My guess is that it will.
I'm going to have a good look on the net soon, and see if there's an updated free trial available, this may well be my answer.
