Ian,

I was able to setup my OE address book and IE favorites by exporting those
files so I'm OK on those. I've made a zip disk file of everything that's in
my e-mail folder, all the idx, mbx files along with some dat files. If I
transfer that entire folder to the new computer will it be able to use all
those files or are there some other files buried in OE that are necessary to
see those? can I import that folder into OE on the new computer?

There's an excellent program for transferring IE\OE stuff which I use
freguently - it's eBackup from InAchis, here:

As well as mail, addresses and Favorites, you can also move other data
folders. However, I just use the basic facilities, it seems to do that
best.
