Thanks Tom, Frank, Hugh and others for your comments on the Voodoo Banshee.  It appears that the card only has 16Mb of ram.  Also, because it's an early AGP type, it could be risky to run it in his Gigabyte 7VM400M mobo.

It's pretty much what I suspected - that he's better off with his onboard system - but as you all know, some customers can get pretty fixated on items that they've been told are good, and they don't realise how quickly hardware becomes outdated.
