More on this issue:

I was able to get my disk formated using the delpart utility and the maxtor
utilities.

However, in doing this, I partitioned my C drive into 2 20G partitions
(Computer called them C and E, with D drive being my 2nd HD). Now, I only
see the C (20G) and D(20G), but I don't see the E (2nd partition of the 40G
HD). In fdisk, I see it and it looks healthy and as if it will show up in
WinME. I hate to ask, but did I forget an important step?

TIA
Marshall

Thanks for the advice for delpart.exe, Zap, and Wipe....I ended up trying
delpart.exe...It did seem to work, but I still have garbage on the drive. I
will try the maxtor disk utilities. If nothing works, I'll trying driving
my car over it!

Thanks again

There is a DOS utility called "delpart.exe" that I believe originally came
from one of the early NT4.0 versions. I have used it a few times on
partitions that nothing else would touch, and it killed them every time.

It is available for free download here:
