Actually the first thing I would suspect is RAM. Try swapping out your RAM
or if you have multiple DIMMS  pull one out and see if the problem goes away.
If it doesn't the next thing I would check is your video driver. Try
running with a generic driver or even in  NT VGA mode. If you don't have a
problem running in VGA then install another video driver. If you still have
a problem with a new driver then try swapping out your video card. It may
just be that your video card is not fully compatible with NT4. NT4 is
particular about hardware.
