The problem will disappear if you go into your CMOS settings and into
the POWER MANAGEMENT area, there disable the 4 second delay
for shut down.   This is usually on the right hand side of the displayed
screen of options.   Just disable this option, even if you have the
power management turned off...  your problem will disappear.
