We used a word processing program called *Galaxy* - worked from a floppy if
needed - I think - and had a reasonable interface so that my DOOM generation
son would use it without too much whingeing.

We also used a program by a local guy called *WindLite* that gave a windows
type file presentation  to enable moving files and finding them etc.

I could scratch around and find them if you are interested and email them -
both were less than a full floppy.
