Hello all,

I know this may sound like a stupid question but I haven't installed any
DVD-ROMs yet and will be soon. My question is, is it necessary to get a
decoder card for it? I mean if I just buy a DVD-ROM will it be able to
play dvd disks without a decoder card? Or is a decoder card just an
add-on to enhance the performance of the dvd player? Also any suggestions
on a dvd-rom to get? Preferably one that is 4x or higher and a 3rd
generation drive.

Thanks,
Cheeko
