NT did not provide a rich library of drivers. It's not uncommon as a
requirement for a new technology to function, that a Service Pack needs to
be installed. Check what SP you have installed, and get the update if one
is necessary.

hi list
i have a pentium 3 500mhz running win nt 4 and i installed a dvd drive on
it and installed associated software cyberlink dvd
when i go to play the dvd it just blue screens straight away and does a
memory dump and i have to reboot the pc,try it again and it makes no
difference.
pc is a compaq deskpro series, i have downloaded and installed latest
primary bus master for the intel chipset but this does not make any
difference.
any one know something else to try or are dvds not supposed to run on nt4?
