Have you verified that you have the SHLWAPI.DLL file in your
c:\windows\system directory?   This file might have been deleted
when you removed a software program.  I would recommend
reinstalling the Paperport scanning software that comes with
your scanner.  That should solve the problem.  If not, you can find
the missing file, SHLWAPI.DLL, on your Win98 install CD in
the Win98_39.CAB file, (in Win98SE it is in the Win98_41.CAB file).
Just use Winzip or another program to extract the file to your
C:\WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory.
