One thing to remember is to have a static IP address from you ISP.
Depending on the type of service you are getting, you might be getting a
DHCP address.

If you do get a static IP from your ISP, then whatever modem doen't really
matter.

You can get router/hubs from the store now with even dhcp services in them
which will get you many PC's or whatever behind that DSL modem.
