  As I mentioned in the paragraph that followed, I have seen, with my
own eyes, a product which combined sound and winmodem on a single card.
So when a poster asks about "winmodems" and "modems with sound", I do
not automatically assume that they really *mean* "with voice".

  In hindsight, I should perhaps have asked for clarification -- it's
certainly possible that the question was mis-worded.
