Hello. I have lost all sound on my HP Pavilion m8100n desktop. It happened just after installing a D-Link DWA-552 N1 wireless adapter. The adapter works, but I have no sound. A diagnostic check tells me that my speakers are not plugged in. They are, and everything is correctly installed. I tried updating my Realtec driver, but that too has been unsuccessful. I am also having trouble with my computer freezing up, losing control of both keyboard and mouse. I am at my wits end, and have become almost obsessed with fixing this thing. I have Windows Vista Home edition installed. I would appreciate any and all help that you can give me. Thanks in advance. I bought the computer in September of last year.
