Hello Ivan,

While Belarc Advisor is usually quite accurate, it can occasionally make
"mistakes" depending
on how and what it polls.

There are various methods to determine what the system "sees" as installed
memory.

1. In the BIOS
2. Via a right-click on your Computer icon- Properties
the resulting panel will give you installed and usable memory as part
   of the computer's description.
3. Run msinfo32.exe via Search or the Run box
That will also list memory under the 1st entry - System Specs
   (plus a whole lot more)
4. Via a physical inspection which slot has a memory stick in it and how
much.

if you're absolutely sure that your observation is correct,
write Belarc about your findings .

I've done so in the past and found them to be very friendly and informative.

A well constructed query - meaning, List info about your computer, OS ,
your own findings
either based on physical evidence or System readout (or both) and all or
part of
Belarc Advisor's report will most likely evoke a friendly response,
at least that was my experience.

Another interesting app is
Security Advisor for Android

Hope it resolves you mystery (g)

PS - if you only have 1 stick of memory, it's usually better to use Slot 1
unless the mfgr advises otherwise.
