Subject:	"Bugs" in the Modem Operation

I recently updated my modem drivers from a prompt on Norton's Web Site
feature
LIVE UPDATE Pro.

After the download and installation, my modem is not responding as well
as it did before the update.  It works, but some little things don't.
For example: I am unable to turn off the modem's speaker.  I have
indicated "Modem Speaker - OFF in the setup program.  It still stays on.
In  addition, the LED signal on my two line that used to light up when I
activated the modem no longer lights up when I activate.

The modem is a 56K USR Voice/FAX .  Any hints?
