I wanted to upgrade the memory and HDD in an ACER P100. Originally it has
four 4MB simms in four slots. Putting the knew two 16mb simms I had,
together with two of the old 4MB simms never reached the expected 40 MBin,
only 24 MB.
The two 16 simms are ok because I tested then in a HOT 591P MOBO.
What might be happenning?
In the other side the BIOS recognized the knew MAxtor 6.4 GB. I created 4
partitions: 3 2.1 GB and one 24 MB.( allthis in oyher PC under W98)
Every partition was recognized and formatted but the HDD was not accesible
in the ACER P 100 PC.
When trying to put a knew HDD in a not so knew PC, which are the basic steps
to follow?
Im sure I am tresspassing some techical principle
