With your prompting, I finally found a setting which allows me to change the
video output from the monitor to TV output. I assume that this is required
to activate the RCA port. Strange that both outputs would not be active at
the same time. It makes is awkward to do video editing if you need to switch
back and forth between what you want to record back to tape and to see the
Windows application that is doing the editing. I suppose there must be
better systems out there to do this (probably better means more $$$).

Unfortunately, while Gainward was priced well and had good reviews, the
documentation that came with the board (it was not OEM), and what is
available online is very skimpy. I have not tried doing the switch, but it
probably is the setting I was missing. Thanks to all of you for the inputs.
