Hi,
When system is infected by Win32.FunLove.Criminal it acts exactly the same way.
Check your system for possible viruses.
Best regards,

Adp> Subject: [PCBUILD] Windows 98 randomly tries to access empty A drive

Adp> The subject line says it all I think. Many times a day, sometimes every few
Adp> minutes, the green A drive light comes on and I hear a grinding sound. My
Adp> computer is about 3-4 years old.....333 Mz speed with a 10 gig hard drive.
Adp> Any ideas?? Thank you

Adp> I had the same problem with a generic system using same OS and a celeron =
Adp> 400mhz processor. I found that a screen saver program was attempting to =
Adp> access the A drive for new pictures to use in that application even if =
Adp> the screensaver wasn't the active application.... Just a thought!
