Hello Listmembers;

A friend just installed a 4 GB HD on his Compaq 4472. The computer has now 3
HD's, A zip drive and a CD.

He is running a 200 MHz, W95A and 54 Mb Ram.

BTW: Compaq refused to help him and Western Digital was not much help
either.

After installation of this HD he partitioned the (W.D.) so that he would
have 2Gb on each partition. This is the interesting part. The HD's are not
in sync alphabetically speaking. What I am trying to say is that C=root
where W95A is, D=Part of the Partitioned (W.D.)HD,E=Zip,F=CDR.,G=2nd part of
(W.D.) partitioned HD.

He would like for them to be in order, ex.; C,D,E,F,G=CDR..
I was under the impression that after installation of new hardware, Windows
would take over and configure your system and update everything.

I appreciate any and all input/feedback

TIA,
Tomez De Silva  "TONY"
