I suspected the power supply so I bought a new one and there was power but then I could not get my monitor to work so I installed a new video card and my monitor came on but now it goes through post with no error beeps but does not boot after post. it just hangs on the screen where it verifies the drives that I have connected. It recognizes the harddrive and you can even hear the drive working when I first turn it on but then it quits and does not boot. Help please.

Had similiar problem last week with grandson's computer. Bad power supply. When replaced would do about same thing yours is doing. Went in and checked bios. For some reason the setting's got screwed up. Resetting the bios cleared up the problem. Booted and ran fine afterwards. If you haven't checked the bios, you might give it a shot. Good luck.John
