Greetings--

If the suggestion below doesn't work, what's left of my personal RAM has registered that it was the BIOS antivirus that had to be disabled prior to installing Windows 9x. Once Windows 9x was installed, a user could go into the BIOS and re-enable the antivirus. (The functionality of this antivirus was/is very minimal.)
