Because I was dissatisfied with the reliability of anti virus information I
put together a web site of anti virus information for my self and made it
available to others.

The site is maintained by me and uses information from reliable and
verifiable sources. Links to sources are provided where possible. I also
keep up with anti virus newsgroups and synthesize opinions from leading
programmers and anti virus researchers and workers.

I maintain a low volume reliable information mailing list to cut through
the hype and media hoohaa on virus facts. None of the mailing list members
has reported being hit by CIH destructive payload.

The URL is:
http://www.alphalink.com.au/~oleary/Virus/virus1.htm

There is a link to the virus myths page on the above page and I even wrote
my own hoax virus warning after a school holiday teenage boys marathon at
my house. It is guaranteed to frighten 14 year old teenage boys.

My hoax/joke warning:
http://www.alphalink.com.au/~oleary/Virus/fritz2.htm

You might be interested to know that the CIH word virus is often activated
on April 26.

This year undetected CIH caused far more problems than the much hyped
Melissa.

CIH is detected and removed by most good *up-to-date* anti virus programs.
