If you use the 10baseT connection without a hub, don't forget that you need
a crossover, or "null modem" cable. If you use coax, don't forget the 50
ohm terminators on either end.

IMO, it doesn't make a whole lot of difference which method you use if
you're only connecting 2 boxes peer-to-peer. I've fooled with both ways,
and they both work fine.

I settled on using a hub with 10baseT cabling mainly because I enjoy seeing
the lights on the hub flash when data is transferred :) Also, a hub makes
it easy to add more machines if you need to, but that's not much of a
problem with the coax either.
