I found a free program called DELPART.EXE on the net ages ago (easily fits
on a floppy), and so far it's deleted every single partition I've ever tried
to delete with it. (I often use second hand drives with unknown partitions.)
To start with, I could only ever get it to work from within windows, which
posed a problem sometimes, but I've since experimented with it, and I've
found that it still works if you use the start up disk to get to the A
prompt, and then switch floppy disks.
(the problem was, I could never get the computer started using this disk)
I'd recommend this program, as it's free, and I've never had any trouble
whatsoever with it yet.
Worth a try.

I would like to delete my primary partition and repartiton the hard drive
for two primary partitions and an extended partion with logical drives for a
linux/win2k dual boot system.

I am used to dos and fdisk, but I cannot delete the primary win2k partition
using a win98se boot disk. The drive is currently formatted NTFS.
