I am having problem with intermittant "product communication" error on my hp pavilion when trying to send document to printer. Operating on LPT1. I have checked cable connections, have checked RAM (192mb RAM), have tried another printer. I normally send to a laser printer, but also tried sending to a jet printer, similar error message. A friend of mine replaced the parallel port, didn't make a difference. Tried new cable IEEE 1284 compliant. Uninstalled printer, software, driver. Reinstalled, no difference. the Hard drive has 2gb free space. Total 3.5gb hard drive. operating windows 98.

Any suggestions???
