Pardon this question if it seems trivial, I'm a rookie at this......
The Pentium PC (Dell Optiplex GL 575) has had the 540MB hard-drive erased
by the previous owner. When I turn it on it tickles the Hdd then the
A-drive. I get a Bios name message on the screen, an accurate RAM count
and a flashing cursor, but no C: prompt. Booting with a DOS 6.22 #1 disk
does nothing, it won't read it. The A-drive light stays on during the boot
after it's tickled, and also if I remove the DOS disk. I've tapped the F2,
Del, and F8 keys but cannot access the BIOS. Any thoughts, Wizards? All
appears to be working inside.. fans, power supply, etc.
