I use an AMR card for faxing only. I purchased it from a company listed at
pricewatch.com for under $20 including shipping and it was not specifically
made for my motherboard (an ECS K7S5A). I am not sure of the mfg., but it
states on the manual that it is V.92 compatible. The manual is just a piece
of paper and states that it is made by ArchTek but I have a feeling that it
is only imported by them and I can't find any information on ArchTek on the
internet.

I don't know if I would use an AMR type modem to connect to the internet on a
regular basis because I think that they are all solely software modems.
