Ray.
I have been using these removable HD bays for years. Several things to check
before buying are:
1. Make sure that the bay comes with a reliable fan for cooling off the hd.
2. Make sure the HD ribbon cable is solid and not a cheap and fragile one.
This seems to be the weakest link. Plugging and unplugging the ribbon cable
to change HD drives puts strain and stress on the portion of the cable that
terminates the the strands of wire into the plastic interface that plugs
into the HD itself. I have had several break off when trying to unplug from
a hd and it is a real project trying to pry the severed plastic interface
off of the HD pins with no ribbon cable to grab. You can really inflict
serious damage to the pins and casing that hold the pins in on the back of
HD once this has occurred.
3. Once you find a good quality dependable removable hd bay try to keep all
of the bays you buy the exact same. That way if you have multiple bays set
up on your server you can easily swap them out without having to plug and
unplug hds to reinsert into the slide out hard drive tray.
Makes life a lot easier.

Hope this helps
