Floppy drive - unusual access

For about 3 months now, whenever I open 'My Computer" or browse up to the "My
Computer" in a dialog box, both my floppies are "searched', much like the
BIOS/boot floppy search. I did install a nre Mobo, but why would this cause
this? It's a SuperMicro P5STE Mobo, with an Award BIOS.

Any fixes?
