I am not well versed in viruses, but I suspect the the one (Kakworm) you
mentioned might have "eaten" your CMOS settings. Try to go to setup when you
restart your computer, and check all the settings. Auto detect drives, and
make sure that you enable floppy seek (and make the floppy your first boot
choice). If you manage to get into your HDD (if your PC posts), you might as
well format it. Otherwise you might want to troubleshoot, by removing all
the expansion cards (including RAM and HDD) and putting back one item at a
time and testing for post all the time.
