It is my understanding that iTunes is required software to sync media to
your iPod. If you can view the video within iTunes, you should be able
to add it to your iPod Touch the same way you add other media. If you
haven't imported the videos you've recorded into the iTunes Library,
please do so and that should convert the files into a compatible format.
That is how iTunes behaves when importing Windows Media Audio or WMA
files. As for conversion programs that are free, I do not have a lot of
experience with them other that cleaning up virus infestations. If a
program comes with a "cracker" or a "keygen" to make it work right,
those are the ones to steer clear of. Beyond that, I'll leave it to my
groupmates to suggest something better. Hope this bit of information
helps. :)

*I'm trying to put video onto my ipod touch. I am able to put pictures
on
it, but can't figure out how to get videos on it. These are just videos
I've made with my camcorder. Does the type of file matter? Mine are mpg
and wmv files. I figure the wmv files are windows media and might not
work,
but should the mpg files work? Though I can't seem to see any of them in
itunes.

If I have to convert them, what free program would work? And what would
I
convert them to?
