On the subject of formatting drives and installing new systems, I ran across
an extremely handy app for copying partitions and drives - Drive2Drive which
you can find here:  http://www.fssdev.com/products/drive2drive/
There's currently a free trial version available - it only lacks some minor
functionality of the full version. I can thoroughly recommend it - it's far
less hassle than PMagic or Ghost and runs in Windows.
