Hi,
I have not used Back Pack backup units, but I have used Backpack
cdroms. Made by Micro Solutions ( http://www.micro-solutions.com/ ), they
attach to the parallel port. The cdrom I used worked real well, even after
being bumped around alot (I was working as an IT support person and we used
it to install software on machines without cdroms built in).

HTH,
Donald Gaither
