 Did you see if the PC was showing 256megs after install? Depending on bios
of mobo, it may show how much is installed during startup. Also check Control
Panel/ System/ Performance to get readout of ram installed. Try reinstalling
the ram, as sometimes it just plain isn't fully seated into the dimm socket.
You need to know what the motherboard's Front Side Bus speed is. If it's
100mhz you could use either PC100 or PC133. You did use proper grounding of
yourself, and safe handling of the memory while installing...? Static can be
