Does it actually give the EDO 5 v and the SDRAM 3.3 v or are you just
lucking you have not yet burned up the .3.3. v SDRAM because it is
sending 5 v to both? Very few mobo that I have seen will send the two
different voltages and say you can mix SIMMs and DIMMs but on if they
are both EDO.

Based on my experiences, they can be used together on many boards.
My Epox board allows both. My son's FIC board allows both, and my
daughters no-name 430VX chipset board allows both.

But as Daniel says, there is no way of telling for sure without more
detailed information about the motherboard in question.
