Dale is correct. In my earlier reply, I said that the LS-120 is an MO drive.
In reality, an MO drive would use a laser to allow a point on the disk to be
magnetically polarized. In the LS-120, the laser is used to position the
head, but is not used in the recording process (unless I am again in error -
my credibility may be suffering here :) ).
