The Biostar M7VIG motherboard will accept a maximum of 2GB (2 X 1GB) of 
PC2700 RAM. A memory increase will definitely increase speed.

I can not find a Biostar 1750 motherboard. I think you have combined the 
CPU speed with the motherboard manufacturer. Please respond or search 
with the actual motherboard ID.

www.Crucial.com has the information to search for applicable RAM on 
their opening page. Just chose the manufacturer, motherboards, and model 
number. You do not need to purchase from them and are free to shop 
elsewhere.

The decision on replacing motherboards, CPU and memory rather than just 
increasing RAM depends upon what you want to use the computers for. The 
current equipment (except for RAM) will suffice for normal home use such 
as e-mails, letter writing, WEB surfing, and simple home programs.
