To Compaq owners:

Compaq is now giving hardware and software support to all callers with
out of warranty systems. For software they go right ahead and help you.
For hardware it has to get approved and they'll extend the warranty one
time and help you. They are doing this since IBM got out of the retail
business and Compaq wants to make customer service the big thing to win
market share.
