Hello

The file has probably not been downloaded completely. You should
re-download it. If possible use a download manager which can resume
interrupted downloads. for ex: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/

Normally what happens is that users verify the downloaded file before
they burn it to a CD-R. This is done using the md5sum utility. This
utility reads the entire ISO image file and runs a mathematical formula
on it. The result of this formula is a small string of letters unique to
that file. Linux distributors run the md5sum utility on all ISO images
storing the results in the same folder as the ISO images. If during
download the ISO image is corrupted in anyway, it's md5sum will be
different from that of the original file. So what you should do before
burning the image is :

Look in the folder from where you downloaded the iso image. There
should be a small file with the letters "md5" in its name ( If there are
multiple files look for the one that matches your version of Knoppix).
This is a plain text file containing the md5sum of the iso image. Save
it locally and open it.

Download the md5sum utility. Google for it or try this site
http://theopencd.sunsite.dk/md5.php

Once the download is complete run the md5sum utility on the iso image:

    md5sum.exe isoimagefilename.iso

If the output matches the md5sum in the text file you saved, you can go
ahead and burn the ISO image to a cd.
