        I am trying to install a 24x Cyberdrive CD in a Compaq Preserio 850CDS
running windows 3.1 DOS 6.2.  I have ran the install that came with the
drive.  It loaded find but when I try to access the drive from windows, the
computer locks up. Black screen.  Must shut power off and reboot.  I am
able to access the drive from DOS and run programs.  But not from Windows
3.1.  Windows runs fine till I try to access the CD.  This drive is a
replacement for a 2x SCSI drive ran from a sound board interface, which is
still installed.   I have removed all traces of CD drivers from sys. files
in the root directory.  Is there something in the windows or compaq
settings that I am missing?
