Katie, just in case you're still in the dark over your choice of graphic (or video) cards for your husband's machine, PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) graphics cards are now pretty much superseded.

Their successor is the AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) card, which performs much better.

PCI cards are still available, mostly for use in older machines that lack AGP slots, but they're generally fairly slow and aren't capable of running modern games, which need lots of processing power.

State-of-the-art AGP cards can cost more than a lot of computers, but if you shop around and talk to a few salespeople, I think you'll find a card that performs pretty well without breaking the bank.
