Hello Mick,

This is not exactly what you are looking for but it may be an alternative
for you. I was browsing the weekly ads here (USA) and ran across this at
CompUSA http://tinyurl.com/32cpf It's a 20 GB, 4200 RPM, external USB 2.0
mobile hard drive powered by USB bus by LaCie. Here is a link to the drive
at LaCie:
http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?id=10106 . LaCie does not ship
internationally but CompUSA does. Here is a link to their shipping policy
which includes an e-mail link for specific questions, etc.

Good luck...
Sven Swanson, Sr.

Subject: [PCBUILD] External USB 3.5 HDD case/drive

Hello

I'm looking at several cases for USB external HDD's. Nearly all the 2.5
cases do not require an independent power supply ... that's great.

What I want is a 3.5 external USB (1 and 2) case that does not require any
power supply ... it powers from the USB like the smaller versions.

Does such a thing exist? ... if so where could I purchase it please?

TIA ... Mick
