Is the "memory count" during the power-on-self-test (POST) enough to
determine if your RAM chips are good??? Or, do you need a special
diagnostic utility to detect defective RAM chips. Thanks in advance!

Well, I sometimes use PC Certify PRO or my POST cards on board utility to
try to check RAM, there are some devices that you can buy to test RAM but
the #1 way I check RAM is by instinct, if the system is acting wacky or
something, and I put a different module in place and the machine stops
acting wacky I can pretty much can assume that it is bad memory, sometimes I
will try it on another machine or other times throw it away, or RMA it.
